Hey, i’m back again with another recommendation. This time it’s a visual novel game for you otome game lovers. This is a free doujin visual novel game, but it’s in full Japanese. I’m recommending this to people who want to learn Japanese while enjoying it with a game. It was released in 2013 by Tetrascope. Since it’s not in English and yet to be translated, I think it is not included in mainstream games.

The protagonist is called Anesaki Nozomi (default name). She’s a closet otaku who loves 2D characters in otome game. She made a new debut in high school and trying to hide her past identity as an introvert otaku. She later known as Ms. Perfect in her high school. As usual in this otome game, you’ll choose story route based on which male character you choose as your boyfriend. Let’s meet the guys, shall we?

There is another closet otaku like the protagonist, named Kuraguchi Ayumu. He was Nozomi’s bestfriend in middle school, and recently got transferred to her high school in the same class. He’s the shy type. Because Nozomi wanted to hide her past from everyone in high school, she was in dilemma whether to be friend again with Ayumu or pretend to not know Ayumu at all. It will be your choice if you want Ayumu as the boyfriend or not. If you like the shy and kind type why not choose him? Maybe behind the thick bang is an ikemen that you want.

The second type is the bad boy tsundere type. This one is called Hoshina Hozumi. He’s the twin of the high school student body president and one year older than Nozomi. The president is famous for his looks and perfect personality and some people see him and Nozomi as the ideal couple, but Nozomi wasn’t really expecting to be his girlfriend. It’s true though, rather than him she got more closer to his twin instead. Hozumi is always acting rough and Nozomi doesn’t try to act like as a Ms. perfect in front of him. They’re the rough outside but soft inside type of couple.

The last is my favourite type, Anesaki Shun. Yes, Nozomi and him have the same last name. He’s her step brother and one year younger. Shun is an ikemen and really popular in their high school. Eventhough his brain is not as smart as Nozomi, his athletic body and handsomeness isn’t lose to her. Because of his popularity image, Nozomi tries hard to be perfect too as his older sister. Shun is like a normal younger brother, sometimes annoying you but deep inside cares for you.

Overall i’m really satisfied with this game. It’s free and really good! Though it doesn’t provide voice actors. All of the characters are likeable, and the story is good too. Nozomi as the protagonist is really unique and funny, because she’s so relateable as fellow otome game lover. I like this game so much i sang a little bit cover from the opening theme song called ‘Princess Magic Night’ below.
